Ladies Section

The Ladies Section was formed in April 1957 and was given approval to use the Green and Clubroom on Tuesday afternoons – see the ‘Weekly Diary’ Tab! At the beginning of 2012 they had 63 members and have had since the 1980's crown green bowling teams playing in the local Workshops League (Wednesday  evenings) - see the 'Bury Workshops' Section in the 'Crown Green News' Tab!. They also now have a team in the Bury Ladies League on Thursday afternoons - see the 'Ladies Section' in the 'Crown Green News' Tab!

During the winter months they also have members who play indoor bowls in the short-mat and long-mat local bowling leagues. Whist is also a regular feature in the Clubroom on Tuesday afternoon in the winter months. Just recently a Bridge club has started for members on Monday afternoons in the winter.

Throughout the year the Ladies hold fund raising events and from time to time they make contributions to the club.

The Ladies Section holds their own AGM in March (See the Annual Diary for the date). The annual ladies subscription is due to be paid at their AGM.
